Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 until January 19th, 2008) was an American film, theatre TV, and voice actress. 1 Pleshette started her acting career in the theatre and started appearing in films in the late 1950s. Later, she was featured in films of note like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Then, she was in numerous television shows and was frequently as a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer who performed under her stage name of Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager in both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
