Keesha Sharp
Tyler Perry's film Why Did I Get Married also features her. Perry, Janet Jackson and the film indie Frozen Peas are all starring together in her. Some of her film credits include The 636 (for which she was awarded the title of Best Actress in 2014's NYLA International Film Festival), Shattered! Never Die Alone, American Adobo, as well as American Adobo. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Keesha when she graduated. Keesha chose to go into theater after graduating from Cum-Lude with her Bachelor in Fine Arts. She played in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel and made her debut Off Broadway on stage in Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. She also played eight characters in the comedic Eat the Runt. Keesha also appeared in Abyssinia and Aida in addition to Thunder Knockin' and Jitney. Some other shows included Big Street, Suburb, The Producers and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Keesha also read the play with August Wilson. In addition to her work in the stage and screen, Keesha directed episodes of "Lethal Weapon", "Are We There Yet" and the short films One Day, Lillian and Half Off. Keesha co-created Clean, The Brit & Broken Doll. Additionally, she is working on several new projects in the process of development. She is in the process of putting together her first full-length album following her smash record "Santa Baby."
