Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Elis Taylor is an American stage, screen actor and producer. She is best known as an actress in films for her roles in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a writer and actress working in film, theater as well as television. She began her acting career with theater, and was later featured in a number of television series and independent and mainstream film. The actress became famous for her role as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico while also appearing in BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both these roles she was praised by critics and received a variety of nominations and accolades, among them The Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress.
